ABOUT US:

Our kennel has been operating in Canada since 1971. But before that my interest in the breed started in 1944. At that time I was living in the south of England. Arriving home from school for summer holidays my mother said I would have to find a job, holidays away from home were still very restricted. I cycled round the village and found the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Formakin kennel owned by Mr. John Holmes one of the original founders of the British Welsh Corgi League.

My love for the breed was formed, and to this day I have not wanted to own another breed.

I came to Canada in 1956, but it was not until 1971 that I was able to purchase my first corgis. Foundation male was “Wendankies Brandonshire” (mostly Schaferhaus breeding) imported from the U.S.A. the female was “Sea Anemone of Tolverne” imported from England, from these two dogs I established a very good reputation in Alberta.

On moving to British Columbia in 1980, it was time to bring in some new stock, to this end I was very fortunate enough to acquire firstly Kilvewood Koka Kola. Then in 1995 I bought Blaizewood Royal Favourite (Becky) in whelp to Super Guy of Pemland. Becky has produced very well for me with 4 American Champions and 7 Canadian; she is a MBISS winner with three championship titles to her name.

The aim of my kennel run with the help of my dear husband, is to produce the very best of temperament in our puppies, so that they make the very best companions for our discerning corgi purchasers. Most of whom are now coming back for replacements of dear old pets who have passed away.
